PANTOMIME TIME IN LAVEY
After an eighteen year slumber, The Lavey Drama Society, under the umbrella of The Termoneeny Community Group, are now putting the final touches to their present production - “Sleeping Beauty’ The story involves a Wicked Witch, a fruitless King and Queen, a fruitful Good Fairy, a number of dubious female Cooks and a beautiful Princess. When the Wicked Witch puts ‘Beauty to sleep, a handsome Prince has to be found amongst the folk of Lavey this turns out to be no easy task
Aided by a rollicking script, a driving musical score and a gallant Horse, the cast leave no stone unturned in their attempt to find a worthy Prince for the hapless ‘Sleeping Beauty’ This is a truly Parish occasion with singers, musicians actors and special guests hailing from every townland in the locality. Described in the entertainment’s section of The Ballymacpeake Times as being ‘Unmissable....,’ the story suits all age groups, offering many laughs and frights along the way.
Produced by Colm O’kane and Gerry Lynch, Sleeping Beauty is being staged in Mayogall Hall, Lavey on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th of December Matinees start at 3pm, evening performances at 8pm.
