TERMONEENY 10K
ROAD RACE
Building on the success of the weekly
circuit training organised by the Termoneeny Community Association, a 10km road
race has been organised for Sunday May 10th 2009 at 2pm.
There are
3 main events on the day:
The first, setting off at 2pm is the
main 10km road race, open to everyone
from over 15 years old. A free T-shirt will be handed out to the first 100 finishers.
Athletics NI Road Race Permit No. ANI/0409/RR064.
Entrance fee £10 ANI £9.
The second event, the
5Km fun run is open to runners from 12 years to 15 years old will start at 2.10pm.
Entrance fee £5.
And finally the third event, the 5Km walk is open to all walkers of any
age.
A free T-shirt will be available for
the first 50 finishers in the 5K event.
Registration opens from 12pm on the
day of the race, @ Lavey GAC, Quarry Road, Knockloughrim, Co. Derry.

coffee and refreshments will be available after the events.
Termoneeny 10K Route.
The
route starts at Lavey GAC grounds
on the Quarry Road, Gulladuff, heading off in the direction of Knockloughrim. On
reaching the village of Knockloughrim, turn left onto the Hillhead Road. Continuing
towards Hillhead, turn left onto Rocktown Lane. Continue on Rocktown Lane and turn
left onto Rocktown Road. Continue to the end of this road where it meets with the
Gulladuff Road (B182). Turn left onto the B182, continue into the village of Gulladuff,
joining the A42. Immediately entering the village turn left onto the Quarry Road
towards the finish line.
Termoneeny 5K Route.
The
route starts at Lavey GAC grounds
on the Quarry Road, Gulladuff, heading off in the direction of Knockloughrim. Turn
left onto the Drumard Road. Continue to the end of this road where it meets with
the Gulladuff Road (B182). Turn left onto the B182, continue into the village of
Gulladuff, joining the A42. Immediately entering the village turn left onto the
Quarry Road towards the finish line.
